Role Summary

The Microsoft 365 Trainer and Coach is a critical member of our team, working with various TWR departments to enhance their productivity through effective use of M365 components in their personal and departmental processes and workflows. Components include SharePoint sites and lists, Teams, Planner, OneNote, OneDrive, Flow and other M365 tools. This role involves meeting with department heads and staff to understand their role and activities, then helping them effectively leverage M365 components through training and coaching.

Please note: This position is a supported/sponsored missionary role (not a direct hire opportunity), so the approved candidate would need to develop a team of partners to provide financially for their full salary and benefits. Microsoft 365 Trainer and Coach: Cary, NC (USA) or remote

Our IT/IS team is looking for a missionary to serve as Microsoft 365 Trainer and Coach, working with teams and various departments to effectively leverage this incredible tool for gospel work.

Essential Functions:

  • Drive greater efficiency and effectiveness in TWR workflows and processes by developing and implementing strategies to promote effective use of M365 tools in the organization.
  • Keep abreast of new M365 tools and features. Communicate new features and changes to TWR staff; updating training and coaching materials as needed to reflect new and changed functionality. Identifying which new M365 products come with our present licensing, and which require additional costs. Develop understanding of which cost-inducing addons bring value, and who in TWR would benefit from that value.
  • Support TWR M365 manager by identifying abandoned sites, teams, and other resources; finding out why they were abandoned and assisting the process/data owner in either improving use of the tool or transitioning to a more effective tool and process.
  • Author regular short updates for staff as useful new M365 features are released indicating how they may be useful for staff
  • Conduct training sessions to familiarize staff with the potential of the tools
  • Offering coaching sessions for those that require more assistance
  • Being the “go to” resource to assist with set up and organization of the tool for a department or community of practice
  • Keep and publish KPI’s


Experience Requirements:

  • Three years' experience using M365 products
  • Three years' experience as a trainer
  • Prior experience with coaching and mentoring
