THE VISION IS BOLD:
Providing hope to China using a powerful tool: radio.
Since only 40% of the population of China lives in the countryside, some might dismiss this opportunity to go and minister to major population centers. But 40% of the population of China is still 500 million people – more than the US, Canada and Mexico combined.
THE PROJECT IS IMMENSE:
TWR needs to renew and restore our 10 shortwave towers at KTWR on the island of Guam. What will that take? We’re looking at replacing 2,500 braces, 100 ladders, and multiple guy wires. Overall, the project amounts to $1.5 million.
Do people listen to shortwave? The government of China uses it to talk to its people — and so does TWR! You see, shortwave is on the precipice of going digital, which will give it an FM-like quality sound and give us the ability to use the sidebands to transmit data. This is a huge opportunity for TWR and for missions work throughout China!
PARTNER WITH US:
We would love to share with your listeners about how God is using radio to reach China, and invite them to help renew our towers with a two day on-air campaign.
