Pray for Japan
Despite religious freedom, Japan is home to the second-largest unreached people group in the world. It has long been considered a hard ground for the gospel, with less than 1 percent of its nearly 126 million people identifying as evangelical Christian. Using media, TWR wants to make Jesus known among communities throughout the nation. It is a huge task — and we need your help. Will you come alongside us in prayer?
TWR began broadcasting into Japan over shortwave radio in 1979, but it wasn’t until after a 2011 earthquake and tsunami that the Japanese people seemed more open to hearing the gospel. During this time, radio became recognized as a vital means of communication during emergencies — opening a door for TWR to share hope via FM broadcasts across the country, beginning in disaster-stricken areas.
