Phil James

Phil, a 1994 graduate of Bethany University, has over twenty-five years’ experience serving in ministry and Christian media. This includes publishing and distributing content into 27 languages in 100+ countries on various digital platforms. This unique experience has provided Phil the amazing opportunity to live in five countries and travel to 65+ countries on six continents! 

Additionally, Phil is no stranger to the ministry of TWR. He recently worked seven years as a content provider with one of TWR’s cooperating media ministries—providing an ideal segue to serving on TWR’s Media Services team.

The vision of the U.S. Media Services Department is: “Serving U.S. ministries in developing and implementing media strategies to fulfill and expand their vision for international outreach.” Phil’s years of ministry and media experience ideally position him to serve as an account executive on this team. He’s excited to cultivate relationships with potential media partners so that their content can be translated and distributed into various languages around the world.

Phil and his wife, Lawanna, recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary, along with the joyful blessing of seven children and five grandchildren.  

When not playing with the kids, he also enjoys swimming and some chess. More significant than hobbies, though, is the heart, and Phil has a heart to answer the Lord's call to go into all the world and make disciples!
