The role of the administrative assistant in Human Resources is to assist the HR Director and other members of the HR team with day-to-day activities, Cary staff care, and global HR issues. 

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements
  • Retrieve and file documents as needed
  • Coordinate and file expense reports
  • Create and maintain personnel, applicant, contractor and volunteer files
  • Assist with training events as needed¬†
  • Recognize employee birthdays and TWR anniversaries with personalized greeting cards signed by HR staff members
  • Order flowers and send sympathy and congratulatory cards for staff as appropriate
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of staff social events, i.e. staff Christmas party, Fall Picnic, and monthly HR Fun Days
  • Assist the Chief Personnel Officer in Salesforce administration
  • Create, organize, and maintain electronic and hard copy files and keep files secure as guided by law and TWR policy; perform regular employee file and I9 audits
  • Maintain and send monthly reports
  • Record and maintain OSHA reports and annual log

Non-essential functions:

  • Photocopying, faxing, and mailing
  • Maintain office supply inventories
  • Record, compile, transcribe, and distribute minutes of meetings
