The Audio Technician is to ensure that all the equipment in the Studios and in the Playout Centre are well maintained and in good operating order; assists the technical staff at the TWR offices throughout the Africa Region; ensures that the TWR studios are being maintained according to the standards set by the Regional Engineer so that good quality FM radio programs can be produced; undertakes preventative maintenance schedules where necessary; to source and purchase replacement parts in a cost effective manner; required to travel at the request of the Regional Engineer to other studios to repair and install broadcast equipment; required to undertake standby duties; ensures that service manuals for all the equipment is kept in good condition and records kept of any changes or modifications.; and clear and logical drawings kept of all studio and playout centre wiring.
