Collaborating with its national partner in South Korea, KTWR transmits nearly 10 hours of Korean-language programming every week into the country. TWR ministers to the North Korean people by providing radio broadcasts that deliver in-depth Bible teaching and systematic theological training for Christians and house-church leaders.
Among the nine programs on the air is a multiyear series of seminary training courses that cover in-depth study of the Bible, church history, principles of expository preaching, Christian counseling, and other subjects.
The Sunday Service program is a worship service on the air. Other programs read the Bible to North Koreans, share the gospel with children, read Christian books aloud, and teach the listener how to pray.
The Women of Hope program helps to meet the spiritual and educational needs of women, and a 10th program called Standing Strong Through the Storm is under development for house-church leaders.
North Korea is one of the world's most closed countries and is named by the reference book Operation World as "probably the most difficult country in which to be a Christian." Owning a Bible or meeting for worship is punishable by death.
Your life-giving support allows our Korean staff to distribute radios and continue producing a full lineup of programs that might be the only spiritual food available to our North Korean listeners. Our goal for the next year is to raise $50,000.
