After the 2011 earthquake, tsunami, and Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan, the Japanese were shaken. Many lost their homes, their agriculture, and their livelihoods. Today, many questions remain: where to put all the toxic water and waste, how to rebuild, and where to find hope.
One missionary said he had never seen such soft hearts in the country of Japan. Then God brought together a team of Japanese Christians who have joined TWR with the needed skills to speak the hope of Jesus Christ in a desperate situation.
One radio announcer and music composer said he was praying for an opportunity to minister by radio in Japan when God opened the door to join TWR. The group is producing three biblical programs that are airing 50 hours per month on four FM stations in the Fukushima disaster area: a 60-minute praise and worship program, a 30-minute Blessing Japan broadcast, and a 30-minute program called The Power of the Gospel.
In addition to these FM stations being open to Christian programming, the response has been a confirmation that this is God's open door for TWR among the Japanese.
