Early on Friday, December 22, TWR experienced a destructive fire at our home office in Cary, North Carolina. The fire started on the loading dock and spread to our shop and mail distribution areas. The heat of the blaze caused significant structural damage to numerous offices on the second floor as well, rendering them uninhabitable. There is also extensive smoke damage throughout the remainder of the building.

Thankfully, no one was injured as the building was unoccupied at the time. But, as you can imagine, this situation presents serious implications for our ministry operations. Building evaluations will continue for several more days and restoration efforts, even though already underway, will likely take weeks to complete.

We have set up temporary offices in another building on campus, but much more planning remains to be done.  We hope to utilize our dining room, auditorium, third floor and lodge facility to temporarily house the rest of our staff until repairs to the building are completed.

Between TWR’s deductible on our insurance policy, items that may not be covered by insurance and other unanticipated expenses, we're relatively certain that our out-of-pocket expenses will be well over $100,000. All this will put a serious strain on our existing budget, and may hinder our ministry plans for the coming year.

Will you come alongside us at this critical time and give an extra gift to ensure we can make the necessary repairs to our facility and continue reaching the farthest reaches of the globe in 2018?

Every gift to our Year-end Challenge, including gifts to help us with our office building restoration project, will be matched up to $230,000 through Dec. 31!

How we finish 2017 directly impacts our ability to broadcast the gospel effectively in 2018, particularly as we recover from the damages caused by this devastating fire. Thank you for standing with us!
