"I challenged them not to be chickens but to be eagles," said Marli Spieker at a Project Hannah event in Kenya.  Valentina walked 9 hours to ask "How do I become an eagle?"  You might be asking the same question.  Well, since Marli was referring to Isaiah chapter 40, let's go there for a moment.  Isaiah writes,

Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint. -- Isaiah 40:28-31 (NKJV)

So, who is it that renews our strength so that we can soar like eagles?  It is "the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth."  Do you know Him?  Do you talk with Him?  Do you seek Him?  Do you wait on Him?  Or, are you trying to operate in your own strength independent of God?  Is there any wonder that you're weary and feel like a chicken.
