Throughout Europe, many young people have little to no contact with biblical truth. This generation often seeks truth online, particularly from podcasts, which are an ideal medium for delving into specific, profound and complex questions.

This Is Real Talk! is a newly launched TWR video/audio podcast project that seeks to engage in conversations with secular young people in the places where they search for truth – YouTube, Spotify, iTunes and several other popular digital platforms. Each episode consists of a 30-minute interview between the host and a different young, prominent Christian, such as activists or professional athletes. Topics include basic yet profound questions like “Does spirituality matter anymore?” and “What happens after death?”

TWR is beginning with a 10-episode pilot project in largely secular Spain by producing a Spanish-language version of the podcast titled Esto Es Real Talk! The ministry hopes to use insights from this project to guide expansion in other applicable European countries. Esto Es Real Talk! is being filmed, distributed and promoted by TWR’s national partner in Spain, Radio Encuentro.

Episodes are uploaded every Thursday on YouTube as video podcasts and on Spotify, SoundCloud, iVoox and iTunes as audio podcasts. TWR and Radio Encuentro are promoting it primarily on Facebook (Esto Es Real Talk), but also on Instagram (@estoesrealtalk) and Twitter (@EstoEsRealTalk). Up-to-date information and even clips from the podcast can be found on the Facebook page in Spanish. Listeners can contact Radio Encuentro and TWR through these social media platforms, the YouTube comment section and a WhatsApp number (+34 601 203 265).

Reaction has been swift and positive. Hundreds of thousands of views have been registered and personal responses are pouring in.
