TWR and Cross Currents International Ministries (CCIM) have teamed up to produce and strategically broadcast audio versions of the books Your Quest for God and Food for Faith, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with the people of Côte d’Ivoire and surrounding countries in West Africa.

Over the past few months, violence in Côte d’Ivoire has escalated and is culminating in attempts to oust the former president Laurent Gbagbo from the city of Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. More than a million people have fled Abidjan for surrounding countries or other parts of Cote d’Ivoire where they will remain for now as refugees.

With lives shattered, living in refugee camps, full of fear and with a sense of hopelessness, whole families huddle around radios listening for news of what is happening back at home, looking for hope and asking themselves searching questions about their lives and their future. It is at times like this that they are most open to hearing the gospel.

Partnering with CCIM, TWR Africa will produce and broadcast 110 four-minute programs in African French on medium wave and via VIVID satellite to FM stations across West Africa. The goal of these programs is to reach into the lives of Ivorians and others living in West Africa, and show them that there is a God who loves and cares about them.

Please pray that many will hear these programs and put their faith and hope in Jesus Christ. Pray also that the situation in Cote d’Ivoire will soon return to normal and that people will no longer live in fear for their lives.
