Gracia Burnham was held captive for over a year by the militant group, Abu Sayyaf. During her bondage in the Philippines, she had a change of heart. Could it be that God used her captivity over a decade ago to refine, test, prepare, and equip her for the ministry that she is doing today? Think about what God told his people in Isaiah 48:10 (ESV), "Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tried you in the furnace of affliction." How about you? Has God brought you through a difficult trial for the purpose of preparing you for a special assignment now or in the future?
