TWR has received the distinguished 2010 Partnership Award from the Oregon-based Luis Palau Association (LPA).
“We are grateful for our partnership with TWR dating back to Luis’ early days in Latin America in the 1960s,” says David L. Jones, LPA vice president of Corporate Affairs. “It’s hard to believe it’s been a partnership covering more than five decades, and now we are expanding that partnership in Africa.”
Earlier this year, TWR joined forces with LPA to simulcast the Love Kampala Festival in Uganda. TWR broadcast the festival live to 30 African nations and it was also was available worldwide through the Internet. Evangelist Andrew Palau was the primary speaker at the festival, which reached thousands for Christ.
The Partnership Award recognizes TWR’s strategic role in advancing global evangelism. LPA airs English programming with TWR in Great Britain, South Asia, Southeast Asia and Southern Africa, as well as Spanish in South America.
“We are truly honored to receive this award from the Palau Association,” says TWR President Lauren Libby. “They have been and continue to be great partners for the gospel.”
