Leading financial expert Ellie Kay visited TWR's Cary, North Carolina, office today and spoke to TWR staff about "Living Rich for Less." Kay, a best-selling author, speaker and media veteran, shared her “10/10/80 Rule,” which encourages giving away 10 percent, saving 10 percent and wisely spending 80 percent.
“The sweetest dollar is the one you give away,” Kay said. “The safest dollar is the one you put away; the smartest dollar is the one you spend wisely.”
A graduate of Colorado Christian University, Kay infused her presentation with scriptures like Isaiah 48:7, Ephesians 5:22 and Psalm 37:25. “God continues to provide for us and take care of us in amazing ways,” Kay said. “The key in finances is to live our lives in a way that honors him.”
Kay was joined by her husband, Lieutenant Colonel Bob Kay, a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and a career fighter pilot. The Kays are parents of seven children and currently live in Palmdale, California.
