"Whuh-HOCK-uh, Mexico? I've never heard of it." That's what came out of my mouth when I was first invited to travel with Buckner International as part of a "Shoes For Orphan Souls" trip to deliver new shoes and socks to orphans and children in need. Since that initial conversation, I've been to Oaxaca (that's the way you spell it) three times. I've been privileged to kneel down in front of young children and teens, wash their feet, fit them with new shoes, and share Jesus with them. I cannot say enough good things about "Shoes For Orphan Souls." I love this project. I love these children. I love Oaxaca, Mexico. I hope and pray that God will bless me with the honor of returning to Oaxaca one day soon.
