It's a familiar Bible story. In Acts chapter 16 (ESV), we read about the arrest and imprisonment of Paul and Silas in Philippi. The jailer "put them into the innter prison and fastened their feet in the stocks." Then, around midnight, as "Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God...suddenly there was an earthquake." The doors swung open and the shackles fell off. Do you remember the response of the jailer? In his distress, "he fell down before Paul and Silas...and said, 'Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" Now, that certainly was a wide-open door for these two missionaries to share the Gospel with their Philippian jailer. But, has anyone ever point blank asked you "How can I become a Christian?" Probably not. However, I bet your non-Christian friends are asking questions. In the case of Rachelle Streeter, a missionary serving with OM, she says her neighbors in Belgium are asking "life questions." My question for you today--are you listening to the questions that your unbelieving friends and family members are asking? And, are you ready to tell them about Christ when the opportunity arises?
