We're serving up a taste of TWR: holiday favorites from our tables to yours for all to enjoy! As we walk through our Advent of Glory series this season and celebrate the birth of our glorious Savior, we hope these recipes would bring you and yours together for a special time of feasting and togetherness.
Our 2021 summer finance intern to Guam, Selena, submitted this simple yet delicious recipe straight from her family cookbook. They make this “Double Layer Holiday Pumpkin Pie” every holiday season — and now, we can all try it out. Garnish the top with extra graham cracker crumbles or even a few cranberries to add a Christmas look and taste, grab your loved ones and enjoy!
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 2 tbsp. sugar
Directions: Mix and press in a 9” pie plate. Refrigerate. (easy peasy!)
- 4 oz. softened cream cheese
- 1 tbsp. milk
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 cup whipped topping
Directions: Beat together cream cheese, milk and sugar. Fold in whipped topping, then spread on crust and refrigerate.
- 1 cup half n' half
- 2 small (3.4 oz) packages instant vanilla pudding
- 16 oz. can of pumpkin
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
Directions: Beat together half n' half and pudding mix, then beat in pumpkin and spices. Mix well and spread over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate at least 3 hours.
Once your pie is sufficiently chilled, slice and serve it up to all of your favorite people! Enjoy!
