Along with generating income, most jobs have added benefits.  Healthcare and retirement benefits instantly come to mind, but often, there are some intangible benefits.  For instance, Storly Michel is the translator for "Thru The Bible" in the language of Creole.  Along with his work at Radio 4VEH in Haiti, Storly is a pastor.  He says translating Dr. J. Vernon McGee's teaching helps him get deeper into God's Word.  I would say that's an excellent benefit of his job!
