Bob and Claire On the Air!

Here is the audio from our interview on WBYN, Boyertown, PA, on June 20th, 2012.

On the Air in the Delaware Valley

We thought you might be interested to learn of an interesting development during our furlough.  A few days ago, our friend and supporter, Dave Gey, introduced us to Mr. John Yoast, the station manager at WBYN, a Christian radio station at WBYN (107.5 FM) in Boyertown, PA.

John invited us back for a 5 minute live interview which will air at 2:00 pm (7 pm in UK, 8 pm in Europe) on Wednesday, JUNE 20th.  That day we will also tape a 20 minute interview which we believe will air at 2:00 pm on Saturday, JUNE 23rd.  WBYN streams live on the internet ( so you can hear the broadcasts even if you are outside the FM listening area.  One supporter has already reported hearing an announcement on air about these interviews.

We were very blessed by how warmly John and his colleague Kathy received us.  Between Wednesday and Saturday they plan to promote the interview on air, and will mention our remaining church speaking engagements in their program, too.

While we were speaking with John and Kathy, one of their local listeners, Barbara, dropped by the station with a plate of cookies.  We soon realized that Barbara was a member of one of our supporting churches, Coventry Church of the Brethren in Pottstown.  Her arrival at just that moment made a really great morning really special.

To top it all off, WBYN’s station is located on a hilltop overlooking Berks and Montgomery Counties, PA.  During our visit we saw a wild Turkey hen with a gaggle of chicks, blue jays, cardinals, chipmunks and a deer.  It was a very special day, as the time of fellowship with a group of wonderful folks was capped by the beauty of God’s Creation.

We hope that you might have the opportunity to listen in to the programs, and we’ll have more to tell after Wednesday.

We began our furlough with a target of seeking $300.00 per month in new financial support pledges.  So far we have received one confirmed pledge, and one not yet confirmed, so we still have a way to go to meet our target.

Please remember this support target in your prayers, and pray for us as we go into the interviews on Wednesday.  We pray that the Lord will use us to bring not only news about TWR, but that He will make us a blessing to the listeners in the Delaware Valley.
