A letter sent today to friends and supporters
As of today, September 2, my November 1 goal for raising full support to serve with TWR (Trans World Radio) is 60 days off.
Admittedly, it's an arbitrary deadline, and if it's not reached by then, I'll continue the work of seeking ministry partners until it is. But I believe there is urgency to begin my part in telling the story of how God is using TWR to reach the world for Christ through media so that lasting fruit is produced.
The urgency is underscored by current events. The Taliban has seized media outlets in Afghanistan and is using them for its purposes. Only TWR is broadcasting Christian content into that nation through AM radio. Can you imagine how powerful that is to believers and seekers in Afghanistan now?
I'm also motivated by the realization that many of you already have been financially supporting my ministry for many months. You continue to do so faithfully, cheerfully and without complaint, but you aren't giving from your hard-earned resources so that I can bide my time in Duluth indefinitely. I want to get started, and you want me to get started as well.
To reach the November 1 goal, I would need to add $26.25 to my support for each of the 60 days.
Will you ask the Father to provide that through His people?
One more thing: I'm heading out tomorrow on an eight-day road trip through Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Iowa. I'll be seeing dear family members and friends -- some for the first time in many years. Will you pray with me for safe and fruitful travels?
Thank you for standing with me.
To His glory,
