Holly heard about TWR from her grandparents who previously had served as volunteers. She started in 1997 as an intern and followed that up with short-term and longterm service. Holly conducts training events and workshops in TWR’s Johannesburg, South Africa, office.

• Hometown: Born in Grand Rapids, Mich.; lived in Fountain Inn, S.C., as a teenager
• University: Moody Bible Institute (Communications and Bible)
• Interesting Fact: Has travelled to more than 35 countries so far. Holly met her husband, Andrew, at the ends of the earth in Timbuktu, Mali; married in February 2008
• Quotable quote: I didn't need to join the Navy to see the world; I just joined TWR!

Holly likes: astronomy, cooking, practical jokes, playing her electric guitar, camping, hiking and popcorn

Holly dislikes: cleaning bathrooms (yuck!), cockroaches and parktown prawns, seeing people’s talents being wasted, bland food, hearing “that's the way we’ve always done it” and long meetings without doughnuts (this should be a felony)
