Scope:
Assist in the responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the studio and transmitting equipment, including a 100,000-watt AM & 500-watt FM transmitters, antenna phasing unit (Phasor), feed lines, antenna tuning units (ATUs) and site control software. This also includes cooling equipment, audio processing, studio to transmitter link equipment and all other ancillary equipment used to maintain the transmitter. The Assistant Site Engineer will assist in the responsibility for the correct function and maintenance of the studio equipment, including the automation (playout) systems.
Accountabilities and Reports:
Reports to the Site Engineer of TWR-Bonaire
Responsibilities:
- Maintain all RF systems and controls used in broadcasting from Bonaire
- Participate in the 24hr/7day On-Call monitoring of the transmitter broadcasts
- Ensure the correct function and maintenance of all audio systems, eg. the studios and automation
- Coordinate purchasing of parts related to maintenance and repairs of broadcast equipment with Site Engineer
- Contribute to a work culture of servanthood and teamwork in which each individual is valued
- Ascertain maintenance needs in the areas of building and grounds and report to Site Engineer and Maintenance Supervisor
- Assist in additional duties as required
- Adhere to safe and effective operation and maintenance procedures, contributing to workplace safety by sharing ideas and observations with Site Engineer

Minimum Qualifications:
- Two years or more of radio frequency troubleshooting and repair experience
- Two-year degree in electronics or equivalent
- Familiarity with computer operating systems and software as they apply to transmitter operation, playout systems and audio transfer
