This position entails overseeing the radio broadcasts thru installing, operating, and maintaining all equipment related to the broadcasts, including studios, to ensure they radiate without error and with minimum lost airtime, while designing and implementing equipment modifications and training others. Duties also include supervising station technicians and interfacing with TWR partners in West Africa in all matters of broadcast engineering, making suggestions for changes, modifications and improvements and evaluating broadcast equipment, studios, facilities, infrastructure and technical staff. A familiarity with computer operating systems, general applications and networking is necessary. An applicant for this opening must have a two year degree in electronics or equivalent work experience; a four year degree in electrical/computer engineering is preferred, with three years’ experience in electronics. Applicant must demonstrate an ability to speak intermediate French. As with most missionary work, flexibility, teamwork and overlapping with the responsibilities of others on the team are a must.
