Recruiting Firm Assists in TWR CEO Search

TWR is partnering with premier executive search firm Dalton Group, LLC for assistance with its presidential search. With more than a decade of experience, Dalton Group believes in recruiting the right leaders for the right roles.

Sensing that the time is opportune for a leadership transition, David G. Tucker announced in November 2007 his intention to step down from his role as chief executive officer of Trans World Radio. Tucker retains the title of president through April 30, 2008, and provides counsel to the Board over the course of the transition. TWR’s Board of Directors, after extensive deliberation, accepted Tucker’s decision and appointed a Search Committee to oversee the board’s search for the ministry’s next leader. TWR then retained the services of Dalton Group, LLC.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is the senior leader at TWR responsible for all facets of the ministry, and reports to the Board of Directors. A foundational requirement for the CEO is a mature and ever-deepening relationship with Jesus, as well as a passion for the lost and the communication of the gospel message. TWR needs a skilled CEO to communicate the vision effectively and develop the funds to underwrite this vision. Critical for success is also the ability to lead and support the Chief Operating Officer as the vision becomes day-to-day activities that result in attained goals. Execution is central to TWR’s success during the upcoming season of ministry. The Board is unanimous that the key experience required for success is a track record of turning the strategic into day-to-day reality. Furthermore, the next CEO at TWR will greatly value people and be known as a servant leader.*
