Project Hannah, which takes its
name from the biblical woman, Hannah (1 Sam. 1:1-28),
was founded in 1997 by Awareness Advocate Marli Spieker.
Marli and her husband, Edmund, were Trans World Radio
missionaries in Asia when God impressed upon her the many
women who are trapped in spiritual, cultural, and physical
bondage.

| A Spirit
of Renewal
Each year, Project Hannah invites those in our Global Prayer
Movement to join in a 40-day journey of prayer and fasting.
Thousands of intercessors across the globe set aside this
time to uplift before the Lord the plight of women worldwide.
However, many who participate experience God renewing their
own spirits as well. Read on to discover how He is working
in the lives of women in Angola, Africa.
"When we received the PH calendar for prayer and fasting,
we felt the Lord leading us to a more intimate relationship
with Him. We are a group of six people who committed to fast
until noon each day. Some of us struggled at the beginning
but as the days passed, we not only saw God renewing our minds
and body, but also answering prayers in a mighty way."
"Our church is the mother of 30 ‘daughters' and
when we come together for Project Hannah we are more than
450 people. The Lord did wonders in our midst during the PH
40 days of prayer. We had ladies in our groups who were like
Hannah in the Bible and saw God honoring their prayers. Their
husbands are now seeking the Lord because they have seen Him
work miraculously. Sisters, let us not lose heart; there is
victory in Jesus!"
