| For each new PH initiative and
every new language in which Women of Hope airs,
prayer groups must be established to specifically pray
for the initiative before it begins (though groups might
not be in the area of the project). A listener in Vietnam
recently wrote that he used the prayer calendar to start
a prayer group of 12 people in his church. |

A Tea Party
on the Air
Each week, women in India have the opportunity to attend a “tea
party on the air.” Asha Bhari Nariyan is the 30-minute
Hindi version of Project Hannah’s Women of Hope
(WoH). Over the course of the program, women hear a story, songs,
health tips, a message from the Bible and answers to questions
asked by listeners just like them.
In an effort to raise prayer support for this ministry, two
meetings were held this summer in New Delhi. About 70 to 80
women gathered for each. The meetings also encouraged volunteers
from local churches to participate in the production of the
WoH programs. During the seminars, several women spoke on
subjects such as witnessing in a pluralistic society and the
role of women in family and church. A special session challenged
women about AIDS education and asked them to speak to their
children about this devastating pandemic.
The women who attended responded positively to the call to
reach out with Christ’s love to those who were hurting
in their country. One woman said: “I listen to your
programs on the radio. I have been blessed by the meeting
today and would like to form a prayer cell and participate
in the regular prayer of Project Hannah. I would also like
to take part as a volunteer in the ministry.” .
