Project Hannah, which takes its
name from the biblical woman, Hannah (1 Sam. 1:1-28),
was founded in 1997 by Awareness Advocate Marli Spieker.
Marli and her husband, Edmund, were Trans World Radio
missionaries in Asia when God impressed upon her the many
women who are trapped in spiritual, cultural, and physical
bondage.

| A Call
for Hope
Miriam picked up her phone. After listening to the Women
of Hope (WoH) radio program in her native Spanish language,
she felt compelled to call the number given and talk to someone.
"I am so sad and disappointed," she told Franklin,
an announcer for the En Familia broadcast. The En Familia
team comprises local pastors and lay leaders in the Raleigh,
NC, area.
After speaking together for a while, Franklin realized the
woman lived nearby. He offered to take her to a Spanish service
at the church he attended in Raleigh. The pastor is one of
the main speakers on the En Familia broadcast. Miriam agreed,
and that afternoon, she asked Christ into her life. Because
of one man reaching out with compassion, and the teamwork
of PH and local Christians, Miriam is now a believer and attends
church regularly.
The 30-minute WoH is part of En Familia, a program block in
Spanish which is broadcast from a local 50,000-watt Spanish
station each Sunday from 11 a.m. to noon. Radio stations across
the United States are also reaching out to non-English-speaking
people by airing other Project Hannah language programming.
In addition, Project Hannah's English version of WoH is making
a significant impact around the world in countries you might
not expect. Stop by our results page to discover how your
prayers and financial support are enabling PH to continue
to minister to suffering women across the globe in 30 "heart
languages."
