Compassion International President Dr. Wess Stafford last evening aired a message of hope and encouragement to families, churches and Compassion staff members affected by the recent earthquake in Haiti. The 18-minute message was broadcast on 800 kilohertz over TWR’s 100,000-watt AM transmitter on the island of Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles.
TWR is partnering with Open Schools Worldwide to produce an audio version of the material for radio broadcast. This radio project is being piloted in Ka-Zakhali Primary School in Swaziland.
TWR-Asia seeks to reach the growing Internet population in Asia. While radio is still an integral part of our ministry, we have gone beyond the airwaves to reach the Internet generation, and share Christ's love in the media they know best.
In response to Tuesday’s massive earthquake in Haiti, TWR’s Member Care Radio Web site is featuring an audio interview with Dr. Brent Lindquist titled “How Can We Help in Times of Disaster?”
Still reeling from the aftermath of strongest earthquake to strike in more than 200 years, people in the impoverished nation of Haiti continue pleading for help.
