This week, my friends TWR missionaries Paul and Donna Cox are visiting TWR’s office in Cary, North Carolina. Paul explains: “We must not lose sight of the end goal: to share the gospel with those who have not heard and to disciple those who’ve received Christ.”
One such new Christ-follower is Baatonu-language (Bariba) listener Grandfather Emmanuel. He resides in a tribal village located near TWR’s transmitter in Benin, West Africa. In an interview with TWR staff who visited his home, he said, “I would like to share something very important with you. As happy and blessed as I am for us to have met today, the only joy that surpasses what I’m feeling now is the joy I have found in Christ. God has used TWR’s broadcasts to facilitate spiritual growth in my life on a daily basis, and for that I’m eternally grateful.” To watch the powerful and inspiring six-minute video of the interview, click here. You’ll want to share this with your friends.
Since Feb. 1, 2008, TWR has aired programs from its Benin transmitter reaching Grandfather Emmanuel and other people in villages like his. Paul and Donna and their three children have served in Benin since May, 2007. You can learn about a missionary’s life in their adopted country by following the Cox family’s blog. I know they would appreciate your prayers for the ministry and for their family.
