Biography

Cassius and Valerie Smith have been with TWR since June 2010. They came to TWR as second career missionaries.

Cassius retired in 2009 after working 32 years as a software developer and project manager in the defense industry. Valerie worked as a graphic artist in the early years of their marriage, and then was a stay-at-home mom. She returned to the workforce as an administrative assistant.

Cassius works with the IT department and is the director for TWR’s LinguaDMS project and the newly formed Digital Media Management deapartment. Valerie is working with the Project Hannah Team.

Cassius and Valerie reside in Cary, NC. They have two grown children and one very precious grandson.

  • Our work with TWR keeps us busy!

    Cassius faces many challenges in his LDMS leadership position. Cross cultural differences need to be dealt with and effectively communicated. Cassius needs to balance demands on his time from the global regions and different projects. Pray for unity across the global LDMS team. Also, pray for excitement and enthusiasm to develop within TWR for use of the LDMS system.

    Valerie is helping with preparations for the Project Hannah International Working Forum in the end of May. She’s coordinating the logistics of caring for 30 out of town attendees. She will also be providing audio/visual support for the week of meetings. She needs prayer for stamina and clear thinking.

    Please pray that we'll keep Jesus as our focus and purpose in the midst of the work that we do.
