Ministry Projects : Bratislava Office Car Replacement
The Bratislava (Slovakia) office's car is in urgent need of replacement. The current car is more than 13 years old and is showing its age. The rate of repairs is drastically increasing, making it too costly to maintain. There are more than 230,000 kilometers on the car, which is beyond the limit for any resale value.
There is a real need for a new car. Many local staff do not own their own vehicles and therefore are reliant on public transport or the office car for work and ministry business. Many ministry-related travel needs exist. Of the four TWR departments represented in Bratislava, three are split between two office locations (the other is Vienna, Austria) and often need to travel to meet with the rest of their department or partners. The office car is also used for picking up visitors at the airport, bus station, or train station, as well as for TWR events and visiting ministry locations such as Budapest (Hungary), Cakovec (Croatia), and Brno (Czech Republic).
The replacement car should be a second hand (one to three years old) station wagon, not a van, seat at least five people, and have considerable trunk space. It should be comfortable for long trips, have air-conditioning, ABS (antilock braking system) and power steering. Preferably, it should run on diesel.
