Ministry Projects : Bhojpuri Orality Radio Program (India)

According to Bob Creson, president of Wycliffe Bible Translators USA, “the majority of the remaining unreached peoples of the earth cannot read or write, so the Word of God will be most effectively communicated to them through oral means and storytelling.”
That description fits the Bhojpuri people of India perfectly. With most of the 33 million Bhojpuri people preferring to learn through the spoken Word, and less than one percent of them Christian, there is a great opportunity to tell the Bhojpuri people about Jesus by radio. TWR-India seeks to broadcast a 15-minute orality program over shortwave and proclaim God’s Word through the medium Bhojpuri speakers most prefer. Along with broadcasting, we will also conduct follow-up with listeners in a systematic manner.
To make this project a reality, we need your support. A donation of $90 will cover the airtime cost for one of these life-changing broadcasts. Thank you for prayerfully considering how you can help make a lasting difference.
