Ministry Projects : Outreach to Nepal

Nepal is a land-locked country situated between China and India, with a population of approximately 27 million. A large percentage of its people live in inaccessible mountains, and it is considered one of the world’s poorest nations. Only about 0.8 percent of the population is Christian. To minister to the people of Nepal, TWR has created vital programs and projects such as, but not limited to the following:
- Distribution of Bibles and Radios - Many rural poor who live in hilly and mountainous areas cannot afford to purchase Bibles or even radios. Providing these as gifts encourages rural believers and opens the door for Christ to touch the hearts of seekers and unbelievers. Bible programming they receive over the radio serve as an important–if not primary–source of spiritual food, as not all areas have access to a church.
- Project Hannah (Nepali) - TWR's Project Hannah and its Women of Hope program in Nepali comforts, consoles, encourages and shows the hope of Jesus to suffering women. This radio program addresses the spiritual, physical, psychological and social needs of Nepali women. In their pain and darkness, we desire to bring hope and the uplifting love of Christ.
- Evanglizing Oral Communities (specifically, the Tamang and Tharu people) - These people groups prefer to communicate through the spoken word. TWR reaches out to them through Bible programs in their heart languages, making use of stories, dramatizations and cultural music.
Please consider contributing a gift of $100 to support this crucial effort to reach Nepal with the life-enriching Word of God.
