Ministry Projects : Reaching Youth & Children in South Asia

Young people in South Asia are at risk, spiritually and physically. HIV/AIDS is on the rise. Human traffickers take little girls and sell them into prostitution. Poverty keeps many from reaching their full potential. These children and youth need the opportunity to hear the Gospel, so they can believe in Jesus and develop a personal relationship with God. They require discipleship that takes into account their specific needs as young people, which the church sometimes lacks the ability to provide. To counter the rising tide of danger and minister to these young hearts, TWR has created these programs and projects:
- India Youth and Children Camps – Churches in India have limited expertise in hosting camps for youth and children, but the opportunity is great. TWR intends to run separate camps for Indian youth and children, to afford them opportunities to meet with others their own age, absorb and understand God’s Word, and be challenged to apply it to their daily lives.
- Nepal Children’s Programming – Twice a week, these children’s programs air over local FM stations, teaching biblical principles, Christian morals, and important information such as tips on good health and hygiene. TWR seeks to demonstrate God’s love though the radio broadcasts, follow-up meetings, and provision of necessary services to less fortunate listeners.
- Nepal Wholistic Program – Through a special radio program, TWR educates young people about the dangers of drug use, and offers advice to guard against abduction (and subsequent human trafficking) as well as reaching out with the love of Christ to those who have contracted HIV.
Please consider supporting this ministry with a generous gift of $100. We seek to give these youth and children in South Asia a chance to be touched with the truth of God’s Word, that they may know Him and truly have “a hope and a future.”
