Ministry Projects : TWR-Uruguay Media Production Center

TWR’s vital Spanish radio production center in Montevideo, Uruguay, has moved to a new location. We praise God for his blessing on this strategic move that will allow the expansion of TWR's programming throughout Latin America. TWR's Uruguayan partner prepares Spanish program blocks to air from TWR’s station on Bonaire for Venezuela and Cuba, as well as the station in Montevideo, which reaches all of Uruguay and the most heavily populated part of Argentina. Additionally, program production of Thru the Bible Spanish, The Word for Today Spanish, Women of Hope Spanish and Solid Ground Spanish are accomplished in this facility. These internationally distributed programs and prepared program blocks account for 96 hours of programming each week. Not only will the new office and studio space allow for growth and expanding studio operations, but the building can also accomodate group meetings. The leadership of TWR-Uruguay are actively involved in leadership training in ministry and media and have already utilized the new facility for some of this training.

We were blessed to see a joyful outpouring of support for the new location from the people of Uruguay, both in their encouraging words and their sacrificial gifts of financial support. Over nearly 30 years of broadcasting, the ministry has built up a strong relationship with the church and listenership. Now it is being expressed through the confidence of our donors who are giving to what we are doing every single day through mass media. The willingness of Uruguayans to give to this extent is a clear testimony of how vital the programs are to them.

TWR-Uruguay supports and promotes the development of Christian communities throughout Latin America. Our programming reaches where there is no church or missionary, to a prisoner, a hospital patient and those in the countryside. Lives changed by the power of God are the result of nearly 30 years of relentless work, and we have thousands of "living letters" encouraging us to continue this radio ministry. Many of these people have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior through the programs. Please pray with us for God’s leading in the many details as we renovate the new Uruguay Media Production Center to better meet our needs. More funds are required to complete the project.
