Ministry Projects : Myanmar's Burmese Youth Program

In Myanmar, discrimination against Christians is strong and rural believers face violence and forced conversion. The next generation in Myanmar (also known as Burma) not only faces mounting religious pressure, but also the turmoil of war and the effects of poverty and disaster in the wake of cyclones and monsoons. Myanmar’s youth need the guidance that only a personal relationship with Jesus Christ can bring. They need to be built up with the words of Jesus found in Matthew 10:16 to be “wise as serpents and gentle as doves” and glorify His name.

To minister to Myanmar’s unreached youth, TWR's partner in Myanmar is producing a 15-minute, weekly radio program in the Burmese language focusing on basic biblical principles taught through the Bible’s stories and parables. Designed in a magazine format, the program will include sermons, song requests and Bible teaching.
