Ministry Projects : North Korea Project
The Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea is probably the world's most closed communist country. “Juche” (self-reliance) is the religious, political, social and economic ideology of North Korea.
Based on statistics from www.joshuaproject.net, only 1.7% of North Korea’s 24 million people are Christian. Due to religion being viewed as a threat to the national ideology, it is nearly impossible to meet regularly for fellowship with one another and even more difficult to have any sort of theological training within the country.
TWR ministers to the Korean people through the following practical initiatives:
- Providing radio broadcasts that deliver in-depth Bible teaching and systematic theological training to Christians and house church leaders.
- Meeting the spiritual and educational needs of women in North Korea through the Women of Hope radio program.
- Meeting the physical needs of North Korean refugees and Christian families through on-the-ground ministry.
The needs are great. We invite you to prayerfully consider a gift of $100 or any amount to support TWR's outreach to North Korea.
