Ministry Projects : Nepali Children's Programming

Churches in Nepal are concerned about the lack of biblically based guidance, care and teaching for their nation's children. This is an urgent need, as children in Nepal face many challenges. Illiteracy, poor health conditions, sexual abuse, drug abuse, human trafficking and child labor are major problems that plague Nepal's next generation.

TWR Nepal desires to broadcast a children’s radio program for a year, over five FM stations in the East, West and Middle regions of Nepal. This 15-minute program would be broadcast twice weekly, and reach an estimated 1.5 million children.

This children’s radio program will be informative and relevant to Nepali listeners, that they may be protected, empowered, educated and uplifted. Biblical principles and Christian morals will be taught, as well as practical information for daily life (such as tips on good health and hygiene). Coupled with follow-up meetings and the provision of necessary services to the less fortunate, TWR-Nepal is demonstrating God’s love to their countrymen, addressing the social, physical and spiritual needs of children.
