Ministry Projects : MentorLink - Training Leaders in South Africa and Malawi
The African Church is facing a leadership crisis. Not only are people living in isolated villages challenging to reach, but a lack of solid leadership exists throughout Africa, where pastors at all levels need guidance to help them better minister to their congregations. Funds are scarce and full-time workers are few. Africa's Christians are spiritually starving without solid biblical teaching from knowlegable, caring leaders.
Because developing leaders is such a crucial need worldwide, TWR has partnered with MentorLink International, a resource agency that God is using to train pastors and church leaders in character development and the "servant leadership" model. This model was demonstrated by our Lord when He was on earth and emphasized the absolute necessity of prayer.
In partnership with MentorLink International, this project combines on the ground leadership training with a radio component, which will reinforce the training and broaden the potential impact of the material by modeling the mentoring process through a conversational on-the-air format.
