Ministry Projects : Chinese Internet Ministry - Reaching the Next Generation Through their Medium of Choice

Even as China rises as a world superpower, its people are facing many emerging social problems. According to the 2006 nationwide morality survey in China, 80 percent of the respondents deemed premarital sex to be acceptable. [1] Another report indicated that as many as 65 percent of abortions in Beijing were carried out for unwed mothers. [2] The urban youth in China seem to lack spiritual direction and discernment, not knowing right from wrong. Without God and His Word as their guide, they are lost.
TWR seeks to reach out to China's struggling youth through the Internet, one of its preferred means of communication and learning. Through four different TWR Chinese Web sites, visitors can listen to programs online, download mp3s, learn English, take theology courses and obtain mental health information.
As of Jan 2010, China's Internet users have reached 384 million, of which some 61.5 percent are young people below the age of 30. [3] This is a vast field. We are implementing plans to expand our service and outreach to China's urban youth, believers and unbelievers alike. We invite you to harvest with us and touch more hearts for God. Your gift of $50 or more would make a lasting difference.
