Ministry Projects : Pastoral Programs from Tartu for Russia, Ukraine and Belarus

Imagine that you have no opportunity to go to a church service, listen to the preaching of God’s Word or get the pastoral care you need. Maybe it is due to old age, health problems or living in a remote area. Your soul is full of pain and questions, yet there is no one to ask or share with. This is especially sad if you are a new believer. In addition, many people in the former Soviet Union are are still living with the impact of the end of communism and have to deal with poverty, corruption, violent crime, breakdown in family structures, sexual immorality, drugs and HIV/AIDS. TWR in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus (RUB) has developed a series of pastoral programs to minister to these needs. The programs include:

Time with a Pastor, which covers a range of topics from discussing important Christian concepts and Christian living to current issues related to regional and global events. The program also makes use of Skype so that listeners can call in or type their questions, which are then answered live during the program.

Sunday’s Message is a sermon aired on Sundays. Various pastors have taken part in recording their messages and are bringing the Word of God to the people.

Time to Believe is a program created especially for non-believers. The message of salvation is explained in a simple way. Listeners learn about the Lord Jesus Christ and what he has done for them. They hear about God´s judgment and grace. Non-believers are invited to rethink their thoughts and perceptions about God and accept the reality of the spiritual world. By giving $38, you are helping to spread one minute of proclaiming the gospel and fulfill the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them…, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20.
