What is an ideal woman? There are so many possible answers to this question. With proud eyes and confident smiles, women on television screens and billboards seem to set a high standard. Beauty contests suggest a collective image of just the right hair, eyes, a great figure and a beautiful voice. The implication is clear: Do everything to be like that, and you will be perfect. Millions of girls and young women are being caught up in this snare, potentially ruining their lives and their outlook on relationships with people and God.

But there are women who know that happiness is not found in appearances. They know there is more to life and are reaching out to others to show them what God looks for in a woman. Broadcast throughout Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine, the radio program Shulamite is by women, for women, showing them that God looks at their hearts, and His image of the ideal woman is far different from what they see in the culture around them.
