Ministry Projects : China's HIV/AIDS Wholistic Health Ministry

HIV/AIDS is a growing problem in China. In years past, impoverished farmers in Central China sold their blood for a few dollars a pint, in a bid to help make ends meet. However, many of them are now suffering from HIV which they contracted through contact with HIV-infected blood. Tens of thousands have died, leaving orphans who cannot attend school, are horribly stigmatized and live with no hope for tomorrow. In Southwest China, HIV/AIDS has spread through rampant heroin drug addiction. Many households have at least one member who is an addict, and this has shattered families and left children parentless. The sex trade in China is also growing, adding to the HIV/AIDS crisis.

UNAIDS projects China could have between 10 and 15 million HIV cases by the year 2010 if no effective countermeasures are taken.

TWR-China's Wholistic Ministry Team, working with the local church, is reaching out to villages affected by HIV/AIDS and helping them with their daily needs and children's school fees. Regular visits, prayer, care and counseling are bringing moral, emotional and spiritual encouragement to many. Through media programming backed up by heartfelt action, TWR is presenting the gospel in non-threatening ways to those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.

Your timely gift of $100 can become a God-sent blessing to an AIDS/HIV-affected family in China.
