Ministry Projects : Project Hannah Vietnamese (Vietnam)

Everyday life is a struggle for women in Vietnam, especially for those living in small villages throughout the countryside. Vietnam's bouts with an unstable economy have created extreme poverty. In some areas, people lack even basic services like schools and hospitals. Illiteracy is high, especially among women. Some sell themselves as brides, hoping for a better life abroad, but are instead trapped in prostitution. Without basic medical care in some rural areas, 70 to 80 percent of pregnant women are anemic, and as many as half of women in places suffer from significant gynecological diseases.

TWR's Project Hannah (PH) ministry produces a weekly, 30-minute radio broadcast for suffering women in Vietnam. The Women of Hope program provides practical teaching not otherwise available to these rural listeners, ranging from treatment for childhood fevers to personal care. It also comforts and gives hope to their souls, showing them that that God loves them and offers new life through Jesus Christ.

PH's Vietnamese production team resides in Australia. These women have an outreach ministry to the large Vietnamese community in Australia, as well as in Vietnam, through cassette tapes of the Women of Hope program and the monthly PH prayer calendars. The program is also aired from Guam twice a week, reaching women throughout Vietnam.

Your generous gift of $100 can help women in Vietnam find hope in Jesus Christ.
