Ministry Projects : Interactive Voice Response (India)

Many of India's youth stand at the crossroads of their lives, unsure of what to believe in. Many do not have a responsible figure in their lives who will listen to them or address their issues. Today, there is an increase in antisocial behavior among Indian youth, possibly resulting from their lack of direction combined with a distrust of adults and authority figures. They also fear rejection and the possible repercussions of approaching a trusted figure with the issues they struggle with--issues such as drug addiction, unemployment, homosexuality, sexual promiscuity and peer pressure.
In this digitally connected age, youth have become more tech savvy and demand instant answers to their questions. They desperately need to hear the answers that only God can provide, and TWR-India has a vision to reach out to these troubled teens.
TWR-India aims to introduce a voice service that youth can call at any time--whether through landlines or mobile phones--to serve as a "biblical hotline" to meet individuals at their points of need. Callers can seek advice pertaining to the personal problems they face, which will be given in the form of short messages or stories based on biblical values. Beyond the automated responses in English and Hindi, these young people will also have the option to receive personal counseling by trained counselors.
This project will make a lasting difference by building up young believers, as well as reaching out to those who have not yet come to know the Lord. We invite you to prayerfully consider giving $100 or a gift of any amount toward this project.
