Ministry Projects Purpose: Evangelism and Discipleship Dominican Republic Studio 2 Project

The Dominican Republic, like other Latin American countries, is plagued by many social problems, such as drug trafficking, homelessness, poverty, violence, suicide, human trafficking and prostitution of women and children. Over time, religion in the Dominican Republic has become a mixture of multiple beliefs and the influences of New Age and postmodern thoughts. Now this island's people find themselves with little knowledge of the one true God, unequipped to face a world of corruption, pain and loss.

TWR has been broadcasting to the Dominican Republic (DR) for many years from its station on Bonaire in the Caribbean. In addition, local stations within the DR are presently being utilized. But the DR is more than a recipient of TWR’s broadcasts. TWR also produces radio programs by means of its partner office, TWR-Dominican Republic (TWR-DR) and distributes these programs throughout Latin America. In 2007, TWR-DR relocated to a much larger studio and office facility to accommodate its production and distribution needs. However, its one studio is not sufficient to accommodate the production of its many programs in Spanish. A second studio is now needed, once funding can be obtained.
