Ministry Projects : Indonesia Life-changing Media

Indonesia has 130 people groups, each with more than 10,000 speakers. In the past four years, the poverty level has risen to 48 percent. Scattered across thousands of villages, these groups are isolated, with few Christian witnesses and churches often too far away to reach. As visa restrictions increase, missionaries find themselves unwanted in a nation that so desperately needs to hear the gospel.

 TWR is committed to a five-part ministry plan called "Indonesia Life-changing Media" that involves the following aspects:

1. Expanding the area to which we minister within the country
2. Using mass media (radio, audio cassette, CDs, VCDs and literature) as well as follow-up
3. Using non-media ministry, such as cell groups, seminars, training, revival programs, wholistic ministry and other supporting activities
4. Providing facilities and equipment to support TWR-Indonesia's ministry:
   • TWR is producing radio programs for children, youth, young parents, and merged groups, to be broadcast on local radio stations. In addition, audio products like cassettes and CDs will be produced in five ethnic languages and listener coordinators will provide follow-up ministry.
   • Special ministry focus in the following areas : Children, Youth, Women, Church Leadership Development, Orality and Holistic Ministry.
