Basic purpose
To provide technical services for the operation, maintenance and modification of the KTWR broadcast equipment on Guam.
Duties and responsibilities
- View the position of the transmitter technician as a ministry to the Lord and Trans World Radio.
- Communicate with the KTWR Chief Engineer or designated engineer, routinely updating him of project status and responsibilities.
- Participate in the routine maintenance of the KTWR broadcast equipment.
- Perform job assignments (routine work and projects) in a professional manner.
- Ensure familiarization with KTWR broadcast equipment, documentation and procedures.
- Ensure all work and testing is done with safety as a top priority.
- Provide occasional technical support to personnel in other TWR locations.
Position specifications
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience with an emphasis in radio communications or power electronics, with at least one year of engineering technician experience.
- Proficient knowledge of RF circuits, vacuum tubes, transistor circuits, logic circuits, power circuits, test equipment use and broadcast-related equipment.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a warm tropical climate.
