Job Purpose
To develop TWR-Europe’s communication in the ministry of Web Design and maintenance to realize the vision and goals of the Public relations department.
Team Vision
TWR-Europe Public Relations Team looks to provide a stable infrastructure through professional (internal and external) customer-service-oriented team members who will provide marketing, public relations, communications, donor relations and fundraising procedures to develop an environment of predictable patterns where satisfactory returns on investment can facilitate annual planning for TWR’s European and international ministries.
Team Goals
- Fund Development through Northwest European “contributing” Partners; encouraging the self-sufficiency and fund development progress of Central, South and East European Partners and the active search for funding of TWR-E ministries to the Church and our Partners in Central Asia, North Africa and the Middle East.
- Public Relations & Marketing to help fund the ministry of TWR-Europe and TWR-International.
- Providing the foundation and infrastructure for TWR-Europe’s “communications-rich” culture.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop the strategy and direction of TWR-Europe Internet ministries in cooperation with the goals, vision and work of the Public Relations Team and TWR-Europe.
- Input and maintain the TWR-Europe Internet Web site.
- TWR-Europe Webmaster
- Action other web-based ministry projects as the Lord leads and opportunities, time and resources arise.
- Work as part of an integrated team who join together in varying tasks when needed to achieve team deadlines.
Candidate Specifications
The successful candidate will:
- be an active member in an evangelical church
- be willing to present and represent the ministry of TWR and develop a personal, spiritual and financial support base team
- possess education in Internet Design and maintenance or equivalent experience
- exhibit excellent skills in Internet design and maintenance (portfolio requested)
- have experience and skills in using and/or managing the use of appropriate tools and software.
- have the ability to give and take directions and instructions in a multi-cultural work environment.
- have good organizational skills as well as the ability to handle project management proactively and creatively.
- be able to travel occasionally
- be able to effectively suggest and take suggestions in working with other team members in ministry and design work. Conversely, he or she will be able to make appropriate and respectful contributions to the work and ministry of other team members.
- be able to effectively liaise with TWR-US and other TWR regional offices
- be willing to work within the framework of the TWR International Fund Development Philosophy (available on request)
- be willing to continue professional training as opportunity and funds enable
- Acceptance as missionary by one of TWR's approved sending agencies.
The Public Relations Team of TWR-Europe is a multi-functioning, innovative team of specialists who create the department’s goals and strategies around enabling the ministries of TWR-Europe. The team should encourage the best possible results by working together to reach the demands and deadlines of the department.
Prayer, freedom of expression, trust and creative ideas are all necessary components in dealing with the demands and time-sensitive nature of customer service for this Kingdom-enabling work.
Key skills include computer capabilities and an understanding of positive customer service. Training in TWR-specific applications will be provided.
Key philosophical foundation to include an understanding of God’s mandate for the Church (Acts 1:8) and the place of Internet ministries and Public Relations in the enablement of that mandate (2 Corinthians 8 & 9).
TWR-E has the privilege of working in most European countries through autonomous partners. Therefore, the members of the Public Relations Team in Europe will each look to forge relationships in their respective professions with appropriate partner staff members to mutually advise and accomplish our Lord’s ministries. The Team will thus endeavor to strengthen our collaborative work in Europe with other organizations and with our TWR offices around the world.
